About the Service Year

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a one-year mandatory program established by the Nigerian government for graduates of universities and polytechnics. As a graduate of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, I was deployed to Niger State, Minna for my service year where I had the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the community while developing essential professional and interpersonal skills.

This transformative experience in Minna allowed me to immerse myself in a new environment, collaborate with fellow corps members from diverse backgrounds across Nigeria, and make lasting contributions to the local community through various projects and initiatives, particularly in fire safety awareness and emergency response.

Platoon 1 Parade Commandant

I was appointed as the Platoon 1 Parade Commandant, a prestigious leadership position that placed me at the forefront of coordinating and leading Platoon 1 corps members in all camp activities and beyond. This role required exceptional organizational skills, discipline, and the ability to inspire and mobilize fellow corps members.

Primary Place of Assignment (PPA)

I served at the Niger State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure in Minna, where I made significant contributions by applying my Electrical & Electronics Engineering expertise to support the ministry's operations and infrastructure projects.
